Business Model

We think like cultural preservationists and support craftspeople and workers.
Our business model involves a socially responsible supply chain, with economic, environmental and occupational benefits provided to the individuals responsible for producing our garments and products.

We are committed to improving the lives of those involved in the production process. We are currently partnered with the Somali Women and Children's Support Network in Etobicoke, Common Thread in Vancouver, British Columbia, as well as to artisans based in Tamil Nadu, India.

We pursue the use of organic materials (whenever and wherever possible), as well as Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), Fair Trade Certification.

Each piece we create has a story of its own, and we intend for each of our collections to be tied to the deep history of textiles and crafts of South Asia

We run #SariStories, a storytelling project about saris to capture the history of women, immigration, and fashion.
